BEEF RIBS
1 rack of Beef Ribs
1/2 cup of you favorite BBQ sauce or make some at home!
1 tbsp sea salt
1 tsp of pepper
3 1/4” slices of butter
2 tbsp of wild honey
1 sheet of heavy duty foil
Smoker:
Traeger Grills JR Elite with Signature pellets
Directions:
Season the ribs thoroughly on both side with salt and pepper. A nice even coating.
Cook the ribs low and slow on the smoker at 225 degrees. Approximate cook time is 4 hours.
But at hour three you will lay out that sheet of foil , shiny on the inside . Pour the honey and lay the slices of butter out so that when you put the ribs facing down they will be coated. Wrap the ribs nice and tight (keeping them still face down so that butter/honey treatment provides some nice bars at the end) and put it back in the smoker for another hour or until tender.
Towards the end of hour four, check the ribs to see if they are ready. Keep them in the foil and carefully flip them back over right side up. Ribs should look juicy and have a nice dark brown color. Baste with BBQ sauce and smoke for another 15 minutes to set . Pull them out and let them rest for 10 min prior to slicing and serving.
Time to grub!!
