Smoked Chicken

There’s definitely something in the joy of cooking. I think I get that from my Mother. Making good food that makes people smile brings an amount of fulfillment , happiness and peace. I made a recipe of smoked black garlic chicken on the Traeger JR Elite for some friends at Rise Above Performance Training for a send-off party the other day. Along with sides of basil butter steamed jasmine rice, beet spinach goat cheese salad, smoked zucchini and crimini mushrooms with Flip Flop Guy (Private Reserve) sauce and spicy coleslaw. I always try to bring sauce offerings which on this day were from Senor Lechuga (.002) and Bachan’s ( GF and Hot n’ Spicy). Chicken thighs were marinated 24 hours overnight in a recipe that I’m currently working on that includes citrus and black fermented garlic.
